Please look at the bottom of this page (under Support Policy Summary) for our support policy summary, containing important information regarding our working hours and our support policy. Thank you!

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Nicholas ... I am one of many who received this error:

Invalid JSON data received: <HTML> <HEAD> <TITLE>Not Implemented</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF" TEXT="#000000"> <H1>Not Implemented</H1> <H2>Error 501</H2> </BODY> </HTML>

I saw you had a developers version that you thought would fix the problem.

This ticket is to let you know it did. After installing the developer version pkg_akeeba-rev8FF0D814-pro.zip I was able to successfully complete a backup and then post-processing copied it out to Google Drive successfully.

I have 19 sites to manage... but I will hold off for a few days to see if you have an official release of your next version.

Thanks.

Nicholas - I just installed your latest release version 6.3.1 on the site where I had previously tested the developer version.

When the installation was complete I received this series of messages:

Warning

You have a newer version of Akeeba Frontend Framework installed. If you want to downgrade please uninstall Akeeba Frontend Framework and install the older version.

Extension Update: Custom install routine failure.

Message

Installation of the package was successful.

Akeeba Backup installation package v.6.3.1

I tested the backup with version 6.3.1 and it worked successfully and also uploaded to google drive with no error.

I am guessing the installation message may be related to the developer version. Is there any action I should take?

Thanks.

No action you need to take. Everything is good and works as expected. Since one of the libraries is already up to date it's not reinstalled. Joomla! reports this as "custom install routine failure" but it's really not a failure. It's just Joomla! using very poor wording.
