Description of my issue:
We are trying to standardize the settings on our akeeba installs and one of the settings is log level. When set to all information and debug, the files are typically large (8Mb or so). When set to Errors & Warnings, they are quite small (0Mb in most cases).

Can you advise which setting is best for ongoing support?

You don't need the log file at all to restore your backup archive. The backup log is solely to figure out what went wrong when your backup fails. In that case, we need the "All information and debug" level. The "Errors and warnings" doesn't help.

You can set it to "No log" but when something goes wrong, you'll have to change the log setting and redo the backup before you can get support. Usually that's not a problem, but it could be if you're in a time crunch.
