Description of my issue:
To enable us to test the Akeeba backups (either through Joomla, Wordpress or Solo) is their an ability to supply a configuration file with kickstart.php and the jpa so that when you trigger kickstart.php it answers / automates the screens so that as a user I dont need to press any buttons; the site is simply recovered according to the details already held in the jpa plus any over-rides (such as changing the db details) fromt this configuration file?

The short answer is "no" Kickstart and ANGIE can't do that.

But you should take a look at UNiTE, available on our Downloads page. The documentation is here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/unite.html. UNiTE is not for the faint of heart, it is an advanced program that doesn't hold your hand much. That makes it more powerful, but less friendly. I think it will do what you have in mind.
