Description of my issue:
I had the free version of Akeeba installed on my site and everything was working fine. I purchased the pro version and when I installed it, it caused an error 500. Now the whole site is down, front and administration panel both. It says FOF3 isn't installed, but I can't even reach the Manage>Install page due to the error.

The Akeeba Backup Pro that you installed had an update to FOF30 within it. The installation of that update went wrong. We need to disable the plugins that depend on FOF30, that will allow us to log into the back end and fix the problem.

Rename the folders /plugins/system/admintools and /plugins/system/akeebaupdatecheck. You can just add .save to the end of the folder name, we're just hiding them. The first one is from Admin Tools, you may not have it.

When you can log iin, delete the /libraries/fof30 folder. DO NOT delete /libraries/fof, that is a core Joomla! library. Then reinstall Akeeba Backup and you're all set.
