EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: Front end backup (either of my 2 profiles) fails with this message:

An error has occurred.
0 DateTime::__construct(): Failed to parse time string (1493368801) at position 8 (0): Unexpected character

Sorry - it seems that the log is empty!

Interestingly my other sites are not reporting availability of the 5.3.3 version for update.

can you please install the latest version of FOF library and try again?
That should fix your issue.
