EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

On Joomla 3.7.0 cli/akeeba-backup.php is exiting with a code of 255 and failing to create a zip file.

Thank you for your report. This is a known issue caused by a late change to the 3.7.0 release. It only affects CLI backups, so you can do a back end backup without a problem. Nicholas has identified the problem and expects to release a new version with a fix either today or tomorrow.
