EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

First, I know the PHP needs to be back-up and we're working on it. As it is, when we upgrade the PHP one of our custom plug-ins doesn't work. We're working on a solution.

However, this same Joomla template is used on 10 other sites that use PHP 5.4.16 and Akeeba Back-up working successfully without any issue on all the sites, except this one: emea.outputlinks.com - on this site, Akeeba back-up won't work. Looking for your help.

I followed the steps of removing files that were identified as too large, but the problem persists.

Log Analyzer:

------ BEGIN OF ALICE RAW OUTPUT -----
Timeout while backing up
There is already an issue with the backup engine saving its state. Please fix it before continuing.

Post-processing engine and archive part size
A post-processing engine is found, but no part size is set; this could lead to timeout issues

You are trying to transfer an 1.5 Gb backup archive in a single operation. This will, of course, fail with a timeout error for the reasons explained in our documentation and which are outside our control. It is imperative that you first consult the Basic Configuration documentation page on cloud backups to understand the situation. As you can see in there you need to set a lower part size for split archives, typically something around 10 to 20Mb.

Another alternative is to tell the Amazon S3 transfer engine that you want to transfer the single, 1.5Gb big, backup archive in multiple chunks. Per its documentation you can simply uncheck the "Disable multipart uploads" option, restoring the behavior to the default, i.e. upload the backup archive in 5Mb chunks which are far less prone to timing out.
