EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I use a cron job to take backup every day. When I tried to extract the backup I got the same error.
I am getting emails that the backup is finished successfully.

I then went to the site and took an brand new backup and I got the same error while I was trying to extract the backup

I am using kickstart-pro-5.0.0

I downloaded version pkg_akeeba-5.3.0.b1-pro because I was getting a message that the version was more than 90 days old. I didn't get a notification to update.
I took a new backup and still the same error

It looks like the real problem is that you are running out of free disk space. The server does not have enough disk space to hold the backup archive and its extracted files at the same time. Remove the backup archive and kickstart.php from the target server. Just extract the archive locally (e.g. with Akeeba eXtract Wizard) and upload all extracted files to your server. Then access the /installation/index.php URL to start the restoration.

You are right Nikolas. Twice the past weekend I saw my account running out of space.

Are the files extracted at a specific path at the server so I can go and delete them? I believe the server holds cache as well.

No, the files are extracted in the same directory as kickstart.php (which is also where your backup archive typically lives as well). The only thing that's extracted in addition to the site is the installation folder which has the restoration script (ANGIE) and the database dump. But if you were to delete that you wouldn't be able to restore your site, of course.

As I said, the problem is that you do not have enough site for the site plusthe backup archive. If you do not have the backup archive on the server you will have, by definition, enough space to complete the restoration.
