EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

When I try to run my backup without any post processing, it works fine. However when I try to ftp the backup to an ftp server I get an error saying that files too big eventhough they are only around 10-15 megabytes.

ALICE Error output:

Large files issues
Error

The following files are too big and can cause backup issues:
File: /joomlatools-files/docman-files/documents/course-material/bac-course/BAC course 2017.pdf 15.66 Mb
File: /joomlatools-files/docman-files/documents/course-material/kick-off-meeting-2016-oct-11-13/Photos.pdf 10.14 Mb
File: /joomlatools-files/docman-files/documents/photos/kick-off-meeting/Photos.pdf 10.14 Mb
File: /joomlatools-files/docman-files/documents/official-documents/consortium agreement Final and signed EGDE.pdf 17.76 Mb
Please try excluding these files using the Files and Directories Exclusion feature or delete them if you are sure you don't need them on your site.

Hopy you can help.

Akeeba Staff
Hello,

looking at your log you are creating archives of 100Mb and upload them.
Most likely you are getting a timeout during the upload because they're too large, please try to lower the part size to 20Mb and try again; if it still fail, lower it to 10Mb.
That should do the trick.
