EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Hi Akeeba-Team,
I want to transfer a Joomla from one webspace to an other at the same Provider (1und1.de). As FTP I only can use the SFTP-Protokoll.
I am able to create FTP-Accout, MySQL-Database and many other thing on the Webspace, like installing an Joomla by the assistent of the webspace.

I can not transfer the site, not by using the site-transfer-wizzard, not with ANGIE, not by restoring the backup in a fresh setup Joomla.

Aktualy I get the following Errormessage: "Access denied for user 'dbo672335665'@'%' to database 'joom' SQL=CREATE DATABASE `joom` CHARACTER SET `utf8`. Within the Webspace-Administration or the phpMyAdmin I can access the Database and I know the Accessdata.

Thank you for yout support.

You need to create a new database BEFORE transferring the site. When you are restoring the site (ANGIE) you will come to the database page. Edit the connection information before clicking Next. You need to enter the connection information for the new database.

Thank you Nicholas for the quick Reply.
I started now completly new. Deleted the complete Direktorys, the database and everything.

Created a new Dirctory "joom" were the Installation should be hosted
Created a new empty Database "joom"
Created a sftp-user, who starts direct in the Directory "joom"

tryed to Transfer the site by "site Transfer wizzard" from the old Installation
got the error-page "error" (and nothing more!), see "akeeba-04.png"

the filezilla showed me, that only the subdir "kicktemp" and the files "kickstart.php" and "kickstart.transfer.php" have been transfered. "kicktemp" was empty.

I transfered the backup-file "site-www.die-schaeferin.de-20170305-191927.jpa" to the root and startet the "kickstart.php"

On the page "Restoration of site's main database" I filled the Database-Information from the Provider, see "akeeba-05a.png"

I got the same Error-Page like yesterday, see "akeeba-05.png"

Transfer error: the SFTP server provided no information. We just display the reported error message. If an error without content is reported that's all you're getting.

Database error: you are sill entering the WRONG information. Kindly read https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/abidatabase.html You are definitely doing item 4 on that page wrong. It is also likely that you are doing item 1 wrong. Please check all of these items, one by one. After entering the correct connection information you will have no problem restoring your site. If you are still not sure what is the correct connection information please contact your host.

I have some observations about things you have missed.

Since you have repeatedly failed to provide the correct connection information to the database I seriously doubt that you managed to do that by editing .php files. If you have no idea what I'm talking about you will very soon find out that both sites are entangled, i.e. changes to one will be reflected on the other. That's because they will both be using the same database.

Moreover, your cloned site is INSECURE if you manually transferred it because it has the same secret key in its configuration file as the original site. This means that, among other things, if I steal your cookies from one site I can spoof a login on the other site. Again, changing that requires at the very least editing a .php file. In Joomla versions prior to 3.6.4 it also requires decrypting and re-encrypting data in the database in some cases.

All these and much more are done automatically by ANGIE when restoring a site. Most of the necessary steps are not documented anywhere in Joomla!. You may find bits and pieces about them in forum posts from people who transferred a site manually but later found out it wasn't working as they expected.

Anyway. Since you asked me to close this case we will respect this and won't be providing any more support for this site transfer, neither in this ticket nor in any future ticket. Good luck!
