Description of my issue:


I know this may be outside of the support but I thought I would at least try.
I am working to upgrade several sites. Today was a Joomla 2.5 site
All was fine and backed up. However, in the upgrading I missed a plugin that caused a fatal crash. I tried going in the logs and couldn't find the correct line to try and turn it off so I could un-install.
I decided to try restoring my backup. Now it is still further dead...

Any thoughts, suggestions, advice (besides not to do that again...haha)

"Don't do that again" sounds like a good plan. But it will not help with the current problem.

I need more information about what is wrong with your restore, "dead" is not something that I have a solution for. Our post restore troubleshooting guide can be found here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/troubleshooter/abiissues.html

Did you upgrade the Joomla! version? You can not restore a Joomla! 2.5 backup over a 3.x site, you need to delete the files first.
