EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
First, let me say "I know php 5.5.38 is outdated". That is what prompted this ticket. I want to make a complete backup BEFORE changing PHP versions.

My questions are:
1. Does Akeeba Backup Professional 5.2.4 offer the ability to perform offsite backup to amazon.com/drive? If so, could you please point me to the documentation for this? (I only can find S3 instructions. I'm not sure if that info applies to amazon.com/drive)

2. Is there anything special I need to do to restore the backup taken on a site hosted with:
CPanel/WHM 60.0 (build 28) and ea-php 5.5.38
to a site hosted with:
CPanel/WHM 60.0 (build 28) and ea-php 7.0? Is it even possible/supported?

3. I just want to say thank you for existing... your products have "saved my bacon" on more than one occasion over the years!
Akeeba Backup is always my first module/plugin/component I install after a new Joomla installation.

1. Amazon Drive is a service where you can only store photographs and videos. As a result storing backup archives to Amazon Drive is impossible :(

What you are actually looking for is Amazon S3 (Simple Storage Service) which lets you store any kind of files, for a fee. I believe that they still do have a free tier of 1Gb per month, however it's not entirely free. Getting data out of Amazon S3 may be subject to charges.

Alternatively you can use Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive. All three of these services have a free tier and do let you upload any kind of files, including backup archives. Please consult our video tutorials and documentation (look under Post Processing Engines).

Of course Akeeba Backup supports a lot more file storage options as you can see in the documentation. The only reason I suggested these four options is either flexibility (Amazon S3) or price (everything else). You are free to choose whatever works best.

2. As far as Akeeba Backup is concerned there is no problem. All you need to do is make sure that all extensions on your site support PHP 7.0. All Akeeba Ltd extensions have supported PHP 7 since June 2015. Most major third party extensions are also PHP 7 compatible. If unsure please check with the developers of your extensions.

3. Thank you very much for your kind words :)
