Description of my issue:

I created a new Joomla website using SP upgrade to move and older joomla version.

The new version (under PHP 5.5.20) was working fine. I made a backup and installed it with Kickstart.

I got a blank page after installation and modified .htaccess (adding # in front of AddHandler application/x-httpd-php55 .php

New error and changed akeebabackup in /plugin/quickicon.

Web site working fine under PHP 5.3.29

I cannot upgrade akeebabackup ! I get the following error. See file attached.

I also got the following error in log

AH01215: PHP Fatal error: Class 'F0FPlatform' not found in /home/richelie/public_html/plugins/system/admintools/feature/blockemaildomains.php on line 21: /usr/local/cpanel/cgi-sys/php55

Neither Joomla! nor current Akeeba products will work under PHP 5.3. You have to load a higher version of PHP in order for anything to work.

The actual error message is regarding the /library/fof30 library, an Akeeba support library. Note that you have two of them, the /library/fof folder is a Joomla! core library and MUST NOT be removed. If after you get your PHP version sorted out you still have the FOFPlatform error, you should install Akeeba Backup twice, back to back, without doing anything in between. That may or may not solve the library problem, it depends on what else is installed. If that doesn't fix it, you can download the library from our Downloads page and install it separately, just like any other extension. That file is at the very bottom of the Downloads page.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

Since I was getting a blank page if .htaccess indicated PHP 55, I

1. Uninstalled Akeeba Backup (and Admin tools).
2. Switched to PHP 5.5.20 in .htaccess
3. Re-installed Akeeba Backup twice
4. Backup web site
5. Joomla (3.6.4) and Akeeba Backup (5.2.4) are now working under PHP 5.5.20
