After a recent Akeeba Backup update (I think it was at 5.2.4 but it could be at 5.2.3 as well...) a new file named sha512.txt appeared in all my /administrator/components/com_akeeba/backup folders.

Is it there for a purpose or is it something spurious and I can delete it?

TIA!

The file was included by mistake, you can safely delete it.
