Description of my issue: While my colleague (in another country) was using Kickstart to deploy a new Joomla website, I went to the domain (http://www.domainname.com) and was re-directed to http://www.domainname.com/installation/index.php and saw the attached page. My concern is that this means anyone visiting the domain during the kickstart process (which in this case took over 1 hour to complete) would access that same page.

This seems like a serious security issue. Shouldn't other visitors be redirected to a maintenance page or something while Kickstart is processing?

Thanks, SOHO Prospecting Team

Yes it can be a security risk. Usually the restore doesn't take long enough for that to be a problem. Where it is taking a significant amount of time, you can use stealth mode. This displays the "Come back later" message that you are looking for. You can find more details at https://www.akeebabackup.com/documentation/akeeba-kickstart-documentation/the-setup-page.html in the advanced options section.
