Good morning,
we are using Akeeba Backup Professional to backup our customers sites to differente Google Drive accounts.
We want to centralize all backups on a single Google Drive account but we are afraid to share our company account information on our customers websites backend.
Could you please tell us if it's possible or not to access Google Drive information with the access and refresh token stored in Akeeba Joomla configuration?
We are thinking about the possibility of a competitor acquiring one of our customer and with those information will be able to access and download other customers backup.

Thank you very much

Regards

I'm afraid you understand correctly. If someone has the tokens for the Google Drive account they have full access to your Google Drive, including reading, deleting and overwriting files. This holds true for all remote storage services which use OAuth or OAuth2 to grant access account-wide, including but not limited to Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive.

Our recommendation for granular access control is Amazon S3. You can create a bucket per client and credentials which only have access to that bucket and nothing else.
