Hi,

We are trying to update Akeeba Backup from version 5.1.2 to 5.2.3 but facing such type of error as
Warning

Copy file failed

Message

Error updating package.


We have also attached log file.

you will really appreciated if help the same.

This error is produced by Joomla. It means that either the upload size in your PHP configuration is too small or you have not set up a valid temporary directory. Both issues will be reported, along with a link to further information, if you go to Extensions, Manage, Warnings.

Alternatively you can consult our installation troubleshooting guide where we have written up the common solutions to pretty much every possible problem you may have installing a Joomla extension – be it one of ours or a third party one. I recommend that you read the sections "You get an error about the package not being uploaded to the server", "Checking your temporary directory" and possibly "Enable FTP"; one of them is most likely to be the relevant section to your issue.
