Description of my issue:
Since some time I get the following warning message:
Update: Could not open update site #16 "Akeeba CMS Update", URL: http://cdn.akeebabackup.com/updates/cmsupdate.xml

Updating seems to work well, but I would like to know the reason and get rid of the message.
I got some hints with google and installed iCurl. Further in php I set
allow_url_fopen = On
allow_url_include = On
But nothing changed. What can I do?

Regards,
Klaus

Klaus,

The Akeeba CMS Update component was discontinued back in March. Please see https://www.akeebabackup.com/home/news/1662-software-availability-changes-march-2016.html for more information. The functions in CMS Update have been contributed to Joomla! and are now Core features.
