EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I'm trying to upgrade to Joomla 3 and would like to do it with a brand new 2.5 server to clear longtime issues. To transfer the installation to this new server, I'm installing Akeeba Backup Pro. However I'm blocked at the first step of installation. I get only one error message, "JLIB_INSTALLER_ABORT_PACKAGE_INSTALL_CUSTOM_INSTALL_FAILURE"

I have tried installing other extensions without issue.

Akeeba Backup 5.1.4 is not compatible with Joomla! 2.5.x. You need the 4.7.3 version available here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/akeeba-backup/4-7-3.html.
