dear,

i'm afraid the logfile is not available.

i want to do a couple of updates but before i do i always start with a backup.
During my first try my browser crashed halfway the backup.
Now it tries to start but it already freezes at "Initialising backup process" and after a while i get the following error:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
Internal Server Error

I tried to click the ALICE button and also asked for the logfile. But those pages won't load.
The support page does load and i tried everything that was applicable. Without succes.

I thought maybe it's because the joomla version is to old so i tried to do the update first.
But when i start the update i get the backup screen again.

There is also a possibility that my provider upgraded the PHP version during my first backup attempt.
I asked them to do so but i didn't expect them to react right away.

What can i do? I really want to update everything (especially Joomla and RSFirewall!)

I tried the ALICE button again and with succes this time.
I received this message:
------ BEGIN OF ALICE RAW OUTPUT -----
Additional database - Wrong access details
Could not detect the used profile, test skipped

Additional database - Joomla database inclusion
Could not detect the used profile, test skipped

------ END OF ALICE RAW OUTPUT -----

and i also have the logfile

Hello Cedric,

first of all please update your Akeeba Backup installation to version 5.1.4.
I suspect you have some issues with your current installation.

Hi Davide,
thanks for your quick reply!

Meanwhile i was able to update Akeeba (i thought it would give the same outcome as the joomla update)
And i'm running a new backup. So far so good (25%)
I'll keep you posted.

thanks!
C

The backup succeeded but i still have the same problem when i try to update joomla.
As soon as i click the "Install the Update" button on the joomla update page he starts a akeeba backup.
After 5 seconds i get the AJAX 500 error.

I just tried again and he still starts the backup but he continues to do so. Weird, isn't it?
to be continued.

Which profile did you use to complete the backup?
Please edit the System - Backup on Update plugin and use the same backup profile.
However, if you prefer, you can simply disable such plugin and run the backup before the updates manually.

hi Davide,

i turned off the auto backup and it works.
I only have one backup profile that worked fine in the past (with dropbox functionality)
Now it sometimes work but the dropbox options doesn't work anymore.

That's not urgent. I'm glad that i was able to backup my system.

I will look in to the dropbox issue later and make a new ticket if needed.
Thanks for the great support!!

kind regards
Cedric
