EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:After removing the latest .jpa file I get the following: An error has occurred.

0 Failed to start the session: already started by PHP ($_SESSION is set).
I can log in but can not get back to the Control Pane; or anything else.
This was after updating Joomla to 3.6.1
Should I try to rextore from a prior backup?

That isn't the usual error message but you're on an older version of Backup. Please disable the plugin System - Update on Backup. The issue is fixed in the 5.1.4 version, released this morning, but it probably will not be fixed in the 4.x series.

Dale I restored from an earlier backup file and it went well. My hosting is still using an older version of php so I can't install Akeeba 5 yet. We are working on it. Thanks for the note to turn off the auto backup plugin, nice idea but it needed to be disabled. Your product has "saved my bacon" again. Thanks
