EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: I have akeeba back up and every other month the component disappear. It is not in component--akeeba anymore. But all the files are in my root. This afternoon the site was not accessible on the back end and front end. Then it came back and akeeba was gone. Not installed anymore.

Since this happens every month after your site is down for a while I believe it has something to do with your host, namely that they are restoring a backup of their server or at least the database every now and then. Besides trying to install Akeeba Backup on your site again, without uninstalling it, I don't think there's anything else you can do about it on your end :/
