EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I am wondering

If there is a way to backup only joomla language files to another joomla to save time (as well as the code for the languages like fr-fr en-us etc)

Thank you for this Great Extension !

dlb
It would not work well for language files only. Joomla! is keeping track of the languages installed so it can notify you of updates. So it is not just the files you have to worry about. You need to install the language packages, just coping the files would not work.

Thank you for the reply

So this means that I have to do it manually

And there is no quick or automated method ?!

Greetings

If you are building new sites, then there is a way. You install Joomla! and the languages, any standard extensions that you use, and Akeeba Backup, of course. Then make a backup of the site and use that as the base of your new site instead of the Joomla! distribution zip file.

If you are working with existing sites, I'm afraid that there is no easy way.
