EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Latest updates messed up a site, so I wanted to restore it from a backup. I saw that there were very old entries in the backup manager. I went to page 2, selected all entries with the checkbox on top and clicked "delete". All deleted. Not only the ones on that page, but on all pages. All entries gone.

Fortunately, a few backups are still in the backup folder. But now I don't see how I can restore them other than deleting the whole site and then restore with kickstart. Any way I can restore from the backend now? Thanks!

Hello Ralf,

this is just a display issue caused by how Joomla pagination works.
Let's say you have 7 records and you only display 5 for page.
You surf to the second page, which means that Joomla will skip the first 5 records and display only the last 2.

When you delete those 2 archives, your total count now is 5, but Joomla will still skip the 5 five, resulting in a blank table (and a terrified user).
You can simply logout or change the amount of displayed records and they will "magically" appear again.

On a side note, I was fooled by this issue, too and I almost got an hearth attack. After some debugging I really got was going on ;)

Thanks. I changed number to "All", and indeed they reappeared. So this is a Joomla bug. Do you know if a report has already been filed?

To be honest I don't know, you can try to submit it, but unless it's within the core, too (for example articles), I hardly doubt it could be promptly fixed.
