Description of my issue:
I have a live system running. Did a backup and restored it in my test enviroment. There a made some major changes (multilanguage). Did a backup there and wanted to restore it again in the live system.

The backup itself worked without errors. If i start the kickstart.php and run the procedure. I get an error after 75% of the first step. It says:

AJAX Loading Error
HTTP Status: 500 (Internal Server Error)
Internal status: error
XHR ReadyState: 4
Raw server response:
###{"status":true,"message":null,"files":0,"bytesIn":0,"bytesOut":0,"done":true,"Warnings":[],"lastfile":""}###

I tried it many times. Made news backup files. Tried again. Same error. I tried to restore it on a different server. There it worked great. So the problem has to be with the live server. Does anyone have some information on this which i could pass to the webspace host? Is there a log from the kickstart process?

Thanks for you help.

Hello,

usually this means that your remote server is blocking your requests.
Kickstart sends a lot of data in a small amount of time, so some server could drop the connection if you are using too many results.
You can try to slow down Kickstart process: in the starting page, there are some fields regarding the maximum and minimum execution time.
Please use the following values:
Minimum execution time: 5 seconds
Maximum execution time: 3 seconds

Yes, minimum is greater than maximum, that's not a typo. Your restoration will be slower, but it should complete.

Hi Davide,

thanks for you answer. I tried it but the same error occured. Is there an other solution or a logfile for the kickstart process which could give a hint on the problem?

thanks oliver

You can enable the debug mode, but that won't be very useful in your case.
The problem is the server killing the connection, something that you can't workaround it.
I'm sorry but the only option seems to locally extract your archive and then upload it to your server using FTP
