Description of my issue:
Version 4.7.0 purged the MySQL database of all Joomla & extension update information, including Update Sites. MyPHP showed that the relevant table row needed repair, so I executed the repair command. No joy.
The system Control Panel shows that Joomla is up to date and that all extensions are up to date, but when I open Joomla Update from the Components menu, this error message is returned:
1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1 SQL=UPDATE `#__update_sites` SET `last_check_timestamp`='0',`location`='http://update.joomla.org/core/list.xml' WHERE
Okay, so what now? If I remove the site and restore using an Akeeba backup, I lose some members who joined recently. And, no, I should backup each and every time a new member joins, but I didn't. Mea culpa. I trusted things to continue to work as they have worked.
I've attached the Alice log that resulted when I ran Configuration after updating to Akeeba Backup 4.7.0.
