EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
On my site backup has been running great, but it stopped today and I can't figure out why it stopped.
Seems like a timeout, but not sure.

I have attached the log-files, hope you can see something in them.
Also tried ALICE, but it won't start.

Regards
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

you didn't set any backup part size, this means that a single file is created.
I suppose it's too big for being uploaded in one shot using FTP, hence the backup failure.
Can you please try to setup a partsize of 10Mb and try again?

It's only 33 mb and this has never been an issue on my server.

But today the backup worked... Strange!

Network usage is not always the same. If there's an high usage, the speed drops and you get the timeout.
Since you are very close to the limit, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I strongly suggest you to set a part size of 10Mb for reliable results.

Thanks, I'll do that :-)
