I have exactly the same problem as the above log ... however, my PHP setting is set higher.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong ?

As the other ticket helpfully suggested, you are using a very old version of PHP (before PHP 5.3).

Please note that the version of PHP running your site and the version of PHP used by CRON jobs can be different and definitely has an entirely different configuration. Please do contact your host and ask them what changes you have to make to your CRON command line to run it under PHP 5.6 instead of an ancient PHP version (5.2 or earlier).
