Description of my issue:

I have an vps server and the memory max is 128mb.
My hoster is saying that you do not use that memory but gives an error.

Any idea what i have to change?

Let's try something. In your backup configuration, please change the backup type from "Main site database only" to "All configured databases". They try your backup again. The difference between the two is that you are crating a sql file now, the second option will create a jpa file.

If that does not solve the problem, please zip and post your complete log file.

Hi Dale,

Well the database backup is working at the moment.
But with files not.
And i am not backupping the images folder yet with 500mb images :-)

So the full site backup is 54mb and not transfering to dropbox.

I attached all the log files but i thing something is not going right with the logs..

Also added a joomla error log.

I hope you can help me out here :-)

Thanks!

And this is what he is telling me.
But there is no extra database.

For your error log, please go to Configuration and make sure your log level setting is "All information and debug" instead of "Errors only". I think that is why your log is empty.

I think ALICE is giving you a false error. I will be able to tell from the log file.

Hi Dale,

Thanks for your reply.
I have it working now!

My memory limit was 32, although now with debug on it showed me it had only 15...
I now set my memory limit to 128mb :-)

And now it is working. Only if i set the split archives to 255mb.
Smaller and it is crashing on archiving, bigger and it crashes on sending...

Still no good log files but i will attach the server settings.
If you see settings in my system info that can be better for akeeba let me know ;-)

The log level setting would be per profile, make sure you are changing the profile you are using for the backup. Is the setting sticking in the Configuration screen? If you change it but the setting will not save, that can indicate another problem. The log file is really the most important tool for figuring this out.
