EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Fails at Dropbox upload. Attempting transfer of completed archive gets message:
Upload of your archive failed. The upload session cannot be created.
Debug info:#500 - invalid JSON Data.
Scrolling down, I see:

Error (4xx)

This is configured to use Upload to Dropbox (v2 API) and a chunk size of 10. The archive file itself is 616.08MB.

This used to be successful some time ago, and using the older API, but I am not sure what has changed. Transfer of the database alone (47MB) is successful, so it very likely has to do with size, though that is still using v1 API. The full site failed with the v1 API also.

Hello Dorothy,

looking at your log file, it seems that there is a conflict in the name.
Do you have any DropBox client open while uploading?

I do have a dropbox syncing to my computer that is different from this dropbox for this client site, but I just reconfirmed the configuration using the v1 api and it is connecting to the proper one.
I tried quite a number of different combinations of settings with no luck.
This most recent one is with the V1 api, a part size of 49.99 and a chunk size of 20 with chunk upload enabled.
It hangs at 86%, in post-processing.

Hey, yay, it just went ahead to display the .jo1 name so perhaps it is progressing. That was after 20 minutes. I will come back to this... just went over into dropbox and the .jpa is 16.51MB so it has a long way to go.

Final update: I got it to work with a part size of 49.99 and a chunk size of 20. It took 12 parts and 1 hour 40 minutes. What a pain!
Thanks!

I'm glad you found the correct part size! Sadly at the beginning you have to do some trial and error to find the correct value.
I'd suggest you to lower it a little more, maybe to 30 or 20Mb, so you should be quite sure to avoid timeouts
