Whenever I'm trying to update Joomla, the backup begins automatically, so I'm blocked from running Joomla Update component. The problem didn't exist when I had AdminTools basic (switched to Pro).
will be grateful for your assistance on the matter.

Hello,

that's an Akeeba Backup feature: before updating Joomla, Akeeba Backup will automatically take a backup and then redirect you to the Joomla update, in this way you have a backup copy if anything went wrong during the update.

If you don't want this feature (but we strongly suggest you to use it), you can easily turn it off by disabling the System - Backup on update system plugin
