EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

Not backing up to Amazon S3. I've checked the keys and they are correct, the same as other sites that upload correctly.

I don't think the log file was attached.

dlb
I was just asking for that. If you can't get it to post, you can put it on a file service like Dropbox and send me a link.

I see it attached to my second message. Are you not getting it? If not I can't send it to Dropbox, but it looks like it's there.

dlb
I was writing when you posted your second message. I was warned that there was a new message but the page refresh didn't show the attachment.

It is the "Amazon S3 Region" setting that it is complaining about:
WARNING |160106 09:53:13|0 :: Akeeba\Engine\Postproc\Connector\S3v4\Connector::putObject(): [0] The authorization header is malformed; the region 'us-east-1' is wrong; expecting 'us-west-2' \n  \n Debug info: \n SimpleXMLElement Object \n ( \n     [Code] => AuthorizationHeaderMalformed \n     [Message] => The authorization header is malformed; the region 'us-east-1' is wrong; expecting 'us-west-2' \n     [Region] => us-west-2 \n     [RequestId] => 034DE1C7FC08A6F0 \n     [HostId] => Fbf2IidnQ4pRDUay/jU0Q96gKkQwsRUqbdFRZiIkajbpX88mXwx+DGD0PUEVADQ1mWHJ1GqKvw4= \n ) \n
If the setting is already right, set it to a wrong region, save, then set it back to the right region and save again.

Well, I changed it to West2 (not sure why... this has nothing to do with my physical location) and that message has changed, but now there's a new one. Log attached.

dlb
New errors are good, we're making progress.

This one is a timeout error. It took too long to upload your 62 Mb backup archive to S3. Go into the S3 configuration and check the box to allow multipart uploads. Some folks have problems with multipart uploads, but most do not. It is the cleanest solution. If it still won't upload, we have to go to Plan B.
