Hello Ingrid,

can you please attach the log of the failed backup?

Looking at the log, the first problem is the part size: without a part size you are creating a single, big archive. Since PHP will try to upload it in one shot, there's a 99% chance that it will timeout since, it's too large.
Please set a part size of 10Mb or 5Mb to be sure you don't incur in timeouts while transferring it.

Anyway, the problem is caused when trying to create the subdirectory save-site on the remote FTP server. Most likely there is a permission issue on the remote server.
Please try to remove such subdirectory from the configuration and take another backup. Does it complete successfully?

here better ?

Yes, that's the right file.
I think the problem relies on the permissions on the remote server, since we can not upload a small file as Kickstart.
If you connect using FileZilla can you actually upload any file?

If you can do that from your computer, this means that there a connection issue between your server and your FTP target server.
Could you please ask your host if they are blocking any outgoing connection? Please note that sometimes even if the connection test is successful, the actual transfer is blocked since different functions are used.

That you are trying to upload a backup archive from your site to your NAS. The transfer is performed using FTP. Ask them if there are any blocks on outgoing connections.

Oh, while I was writing I remember one last check that you could do: can you please switch the flag about the Passive mode?
As a final note, please remember that home/small business NAS could create problems, since they can not handle the incoming stream of data. Moreover, the real bottleneck is the bandwidth of your home/office. If it's under heavy usage, the upload request could take so much that gets closed by the remote server.
So, long story short: you can try using your NAS, but we strongly suggest you to rely on cloud services like Dropbox or Amazon S3

Please get in touch with Siteground support and ask them if there is anything filtering the outgoing connections.
