Description of my issue:

I am making a backup via Administrator area or json api the backup takes ages to finish.
The hoster told that the writes of akeeba are too many and when backing up onto a NFS it gets too slow.

I have attached the backup log in the rar file as well as the adjusted jpa.php from the hoster which apparently makes the backup run slower.

Is there a remedy to solve the slow backup.

Hello Cedric,

in such cases the best option is to change host.
The backup process could be a very intensive task, but that usually is a problem with low end hosting. Better hosting (or better hosting plans with more resources) can handle such processes faster.
