I have updated Akeeba Backup to 4.5.0 this week at different websites.
Since the update I have no FTP connection to my FTP server (NAS) anymore.

I have tested this at 3 different hosting servers.

Before the update I have checked if I could test the FTP connection by pushing the button at the config screen.
Then I received the message

FTP Connection Test
Connection to remote FTP server was established successfully!

But after the update to 4.5.0, I have pushed that button again and then I received a blank popup window without any text.
Even after waiting a couple of minutes nothing happened.
Right after the update I have not changed anything.
So the only thing I can imagine is that there is something wrong in 4.5.0

Do you have any idea how I can solve this?
Best regards,
Wouter (WoodyF4u)

This is merely a CSS issue we detected and fixed today. We'll publish a new version later this week.

Ah great.
It rook me a several hours to test it before posting it here.
Good to know it will be fixed in a next release.

But.... a CSS issue sounds to me that it is only for the layout.
My question is that starting a FTP connection is not possible to my NAS from the backend of the site.
When I test it with FileZilla from an outdoor location, I have no problem to start the FTP connection.

Does the fix repair the FTP connection or only the blank popup?
Best regards,

The FTP code has not been touched since 4.4.1. The problem with your FTP connection lies somewhere in your NAS, local network or any server setting unrelated to Akeeba Backup.

The blank popup is unrelated to the FTP connection. In fact, if you view the source you'll see that the HTML content is there but CSS issues prevent it from displaying.

I don't know why, but with the release of Akeeba Backup 4.5.1 all my sites are connecting to my NAS again without any problem.
Thanks for this release.
