Description of my issue:
Synopsis: [SITE] variable not replaced with site name in backup description

Steps to recreate:
Running the following command line back-up (testing prior to programming CRON job.) :

/usr/php/54/usr/bin/php-cli /home1/domain/public_html/test/cli/akeeba-backup.php -profile 2 -description "[SITE] - Date:[DATE] command line test"

Script ran successfully and backup was created.
Checking the backup listing in the Akeeba Manage Backups page, the backup description is "[SITE] - Date:20151219 command line test"

Hello Fred,

as reported in the tooltip and in the manual, the correct token for the site is [HOST]. Moreover such token won't work on CLI, so you can't use it.

Your documentation states otherwise:

Page in documentation

--description "Your description" allows you set a backup description different than the default. Do not forget to enclose your description in double quotes, or this parameter will not work! Since Akeeba Backup 3.1 the description supports Akeeba Backup's file naming "variables", e.g. [SITE], [DATE] and [TIME]. These variables are documented in the Output Directory configuration option's description. This allows you to use them in conjunction with this parameter to provide flexible backup descriptions.

I'll close the ticket, regardless...
Thanks for the reply.
Fred
