The backup is running fine but it is not uploading to dropbox.
If i go to Manage Backups and i click on the button Transfer Archive (dropbox) i get to see the message: Preparing to upload your archive. This will take some time. Please wait. after a few seconds i see the message: Unexpected result from Akeeba\Engine\Postproc\Dropbox: -1

I installed the dropbox connection as discribed in the manual on page 57. Every thing went fine during the installation but it will not send the file to dropbox. Did i forget something or should i install something else with it?

thanks for the help,
Roland

Roland,

You forgot to include your backup log with your support ticket. :-)

Kidding aside, I really do need to see the log to figure out why Dropbox isn't working. Please zip it and attach it.

Hi Dale,

I do not know which one you need so i included all 4 of them. Hope this will help.

Thanks,
Roland

The file akeeba.backend.id01.log is almost the file that I needed. That is the proper name format for a back end backup. That relates to backup #01 on your Manage Backups screen. Unfortunately, there was no post processing for that backup, so there is no information on what is going on with Dropbox.

There should be a similarly named file for each backup that you start from the back end. CRON backups use a different naming format. The number in the file name relates to the backup ID on the Manage Backups screen.

If you are using multiple profiles, please check your Dropbox profile Configuration, near the top, make sure the Log Level is "All information and debug". If it is set to something else, there may not be a log produced.

Hi Dale,

You can close the ticket, Reason that this message comes up is cause I first set it up to put it under ftp that did not work cause of a firewall that blocks it. I then set it up for Dropbox and see if that worked. The problem is I only pressed the button to upload it to dropbox and that doesn't work then. I now deleted all the backups and made a new backup and now it works fine so for some reason it will not upload a backup that was made before you set the settings for your dropbox.

Thanks for your help,
Roland
