Hi,

as maintainer of czech translation on transifex, I would like to know, if I could somehow influence the release cycle of translations to official Akeeba CDN. Currently on CDN there is translation package over 4 month old, targeting Akeeba backup 4.2.0. Lately there are more new strings in language files, already translated on transifex, but not present at CDN. Users do not search Transifex directly, they use official CDN, and currently they are resulting in half translated envinronment.

Would be great, if there is some "auto publishing" system, something like what for example Virtuemart or JCE use.

Hello Pavel,

Every time I am about to release a new version I pull the translations from Transifex and publish them on our CDN automatically. The publishing is part of our release process. The last time I did that was just a week ago. As far as I can see your Czech translation is 98% complete with nearly 30 strings to go. If you can finish it up today I'll publish a new version of the languages together with the new version scheduled for today.

Ok, done. But I have to say, it is not easy, those explanations are longer than fairy tales of my daughter :)

So, if I understand, only 100% translated files are being ppublished? As current Transifex translation contains lot of new translations, which are not on CDN. The CDN file is 4 months old, transifex files only few weeks old.

No. Let me explain this in simple terms.

When we release a new version of Akeeba Backup ALL TRANSLATIONS are published AUTOMATICALLY.

All.

Even those at 0% translation.

Automatically. You or I don't have to do anything.

That is strange, as I told you before, on CDN are czech transaltions about 4 months old. I made chnges at transifex within that time, but it wasn't published to CDN. Currently the status on transifex is 100% translated, so after todays release I will check CDN translations and let you know.

You'll have to check on Friday morning. It can take up to 24 hours to see the updates on the CDN.
