EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
I have the same problem as ticket #23495, but the answer there is in italian???

After upgrading to version 4.4.2 I no longer see the Browse directory button when using DirectFTP.

The English version of Davide's answer:

The "Browse" button has been removed deliberately. We noticed that it may create confusion among users and it is much easier if you provide the initial folder directly.
