EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
We're just migrated our production instance of Joomla 2.5.11 to SiteGround Hosting. I am trying to install ABU Pro on this instance, with no luck. I have followed all three methods without success (Joomla upload, URL, and Install from Directory).

Do I need to upgrade our J2.5.11 instance to J3.4.x before trying to install ABUPro? I have no way to do intermediate version upgrades of Joomla beyond 2.5.11 version, other than the (Joomla) Component--Joomla! Update method.

I'm a bit hesitant to do that upgrade without having a backup of the site, first. Your recommendations are...?

I would strongly recommend that you not upgrade your site without a backup. :-)

The latest versions of Akeeba Backup are only for the Joomla! 3.x series. You need to install the 4.1.2 version, the last version that supported Joomla! 2.5.x. You can find that version here: https://www.akeebabackup.com/download/akeeba-backup/4-1-2.html.
