Just a question about how to include "red folders" in backups. For example, I would want to add a "logs" folder to my standard backup. This folder has right access privileges, but Akeeba Backup still shows it in red and cannot be included.
Neither this "logs" folder is not excluded in "regex files and folders exclusion". Why isn't it possible yet?

Thank you in advance

Generally there is nothing in the logs folder that you would need on your restored website, so you are increasing the size of your backup for no gain.

The main reason is that log files are always expanding. They can expand while they are being backed up. In a worst case scenario, that can corrupt your backup archive so that it can not be extracted. In a perfect world, all the log files associated with Joomla! and extensions should be in the log folder. In reality, developers sometimes put logs in application folders that can cause real trouble.
