Hello there !

How are you today ?

Sometimes I tested severals components or plug in on my Joomla.
Each time I made a backup.

If something is going wrong, I just download the last backup, and re-install my website.

Is there any way to make a backup like a snapshop for each install of each component and, if needed, to simply come back to a previous stat ?

Greeting and thanks again for your great service !

J !

Hello,

I'm sorry but that's not possible. What you are doing is the correct way: full backup before update/installation.
Creating a "snapshot" would require to store all the files and then track down which file was added, in order to delete them back: sadly this is a very intensive task and is not going to work on a lot of hosts.

Full backup + Full restore is the correct way to handle this.
