EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I backed up my site and restored it to a staging site. I made my changes, then backed up again.

I restored to the live site, but as I was rushing I did something very stupid. I restored a different site altogether.

Since then when I try to run kickstart it works, it goes all the way through without error, but on the final stage after it's all complete, the part where it says "click here to visit your front end" the button doesn't work. Usually it asks me to click no the remove installation directory, but this time it offers me the front end button straight away.

When I visit the front end manually it's white screen, back end is error 500.

I've tried to restore several times, with different backups, but always the same result.

Here are errors from my cPanel.

Do you have any advice for me?

UglyEoin
I should also say that by default the /tmp and /log files are aiming at the staging site still, so I change them in the kickstart screen. I also check configuration.php and the change appears to work.

I've also tried the same and clicked on the checkbox which indicates it will update the /tmp and /log locations

Sorry writing this helped me. I deleted all files and restored the latest version and it worked. Case closed. Writing things down really helps sometimes huh! :D

Thanks for inadvertently providing me my own solution
