EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:

I wonder if the frontend backup performs post processing to a remote media type nonedrive. Aki in my tests was only sent via backand.

Your front end backup is doing the post processing:
DEBUG |150611 03:18:14|Loading post-processing engine object (onedrive)
It is not successful. This has been a very active week for OndDrive questions. This is a response from Nicholas to an earlier ticket:
I'm afraid this error comes from OneDrive itself and seems to be unrelated with our software. Both me and Davide have tried uploading backups of various sizes (5 to 78Mb) using chunk sizes of 5 and 10Mb using two different OneDrive accounts and a total of 6 different server environments. We cannot reproduce the issue.

We have therefore confirmed that the problem doesn't come from our code. It is either a server issue or a problem with OneDrive itself.

One possible explanation is that your server has an old OpenSSL version (before 1.1.x). This old version does not support certificates signed with SHA-256 signatures which are used by both Microsoft and our own server. Do keep in mind that before you can upload a file Akeeba Backup needs to connect to the mediator service on our site to tell OneDrive to issue an up-to-date authentication token. If your server can't talk to ours you do get the Invalid JSON message. Likewise if your server can't talk to the OneDrive server. Please ask your host. If they tell you that they have OpenSSL 0.9.x or 1.0.x then you cannot use the OneDrive integration unless they upgrade to OpenSSL 1.1.x. You can blame Google for that. It's their push towards SHA-256 signed certificates the last 6 months that's forced everyone to upgrade their SSL certificates. Sadly, this breaks integrations on old servers using old versions of OpenSSL...

The other possible explanation is that the OneDrive API drops the ball. I would accept it as a possibility if the problem was intermittent or if we could reproduce the issue. It seems unlikely that such a problem would only affect certain OneDrive accounts excluding both mines and Davide's. That's too much of a coincidence. Then again, it's Microsoft. One thing I've learned the last 24 years is that you should reasonably expect the worst from them.

So, where does that leave us? First check the OpenSSL version with your host. If they have an old version ask that they upgrade it to 1.1.x immediately. If they can't, or already have, then your only choice is to not use OneDrive. Dropbox and Amazon S3 are really good and very affordable alternatives.

Ok, I will check. The Akeeba is expected to launch a version that will support the "Mega" or "Copy"?

dlb
Neither of these services provide an API we can use so we can not support them at this time.
