EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Since updating to 4.2.23 (after the issue with 4.2.2!) I have noticed that all my backups have reduced significantly in size to what they had previously been (we backup daily and for weeks they have been the same until now)....

We have 4 main sites, sizes have gone from:

1.39 GB to 1.32 GB
91 MB to 52 MB
63 MB to 51 MB
82 MB to 65 MB

Is this something to do with the update? Its very odd that the size has reduced so much in all of the backups.... would appreciate any advice please!

We are no longer backing up log files. Actually, this should have been the case since version 3.0 but there was a bug: we had hardcoded the path to the log files instead of asking Joomla! to tell us where they are placed. That was OK in Joomla! 1.5 but since Joomla! 1.6 we ended up backing up the log files. This went completely unnoticed until a couple of weeks ago.

Great - thanks for the fast response.... if it had only been one site I would have been quite worried, but I kind of guessed it might be something to do with the files being backed up, but wanted to be sure!
