EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: Remote location storage has completely disappeared from the config section. Is this due to my server running PHP 5.3.29? (I am in the process of upgrading a large Real Estate site that is holding up my upgrading of PHP)

No, PHP 5.3.29 is an acceptable version. It is getting a little long in the tooth, but we still support it.

I think maybe you got the Core version of Akeeba Backup installed by mistake. That would explain why the post processing options vanished.

Please download the Pro version from the Downloads menu above and install it twice without doing anything else in between. Do not uninstall Akeeba, that will cause you to lose all your settings and possibly your stored backups. The "install twice" trick usually works around an anomaly in the Joomla! installer.
