EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: We are in the final steps of development and decided to start using Akeeba for backing up the site. It used to operate OK but after quite alot updates of various components including joomla, we realised that it is simply giving as a white page.

I have tried reinstal the component more than once without any effect. Admin tools operastes as it should. The front end logs haven't produced any errors.

From the back end error log I recored the following.

[09-Apr-2015 13:07:53 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined index: total_size in /home/homebiology/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/engine/Factory.php on line 424
[09-Apr-2015 13:07:53 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function setError() on a non-object in /home/homebiology/public_html/administrator/components/com_akeeba/engine/Platform/Base.php on line 341

When I paste the url directly from any akeeba backup button as for example (index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=config, index.php?option=com_akeeba&view=confwiz etc).

Other similar sites in the same hosting enviroment with similar joomla version don't have any problem at all.

Thanks in advace.

I forgot to mention that Troubleshooter - ALICE (Akeeba Log Inspection and Cause Elimination) report the following warning:

A post-processing engine is found, but no part size is set; this could lead to timeout issues
Set a part size inside backup profile configuration.

Hello Panagiotis,

I suspect you a have a corrupted table.
The best way to fix this, is to uninstall Akeeba Backup and then reinstall it.
That should fix your database problem, so the white page should not appear anymore.
