EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Akeeba Backup [Professional] v4.1.1 gets stuck at 83% completion in Post-processing on a new localhost site. The problem appears to be specific to uploading backup archives to DropBox — with Post-processing engine set to "No post-processing," the backup completes without issue every single time.

I have numerous Hostgator-hosted sites which consistently upload their backup archives successfully to the same DropBox account with the exact same credentials — which leads me to believe that the problem I'm experiencing has everything to do with my OSx Yosemite-native AMPstack localhost configuration. But because everything else appears to be working just fine with my Joomla installation, I don't know where to look.

My log file is some 7.3MB (available for download here) and does indicate one warning:
Post-processing engine and archive part size

A post-processing engine is found, but no part size is set; this could lead to timeout issues

Set a part size inside backup profile configuration.

I have varied my Chunk size (which I presume is what is referred to generally in the related tickets I've read as Part size) setting between 5.00MB and 20.00MB, to no avail. I have to believe there's a resolution-in-waiting lurking in that brilliant mind of yours

Hello,

can you please set a Part Size to the archive?
You can find it inside Akeeba Configuration, section Archiver engine (you have to expand it). Please set it to 5Mb and try again.

I've tried setting Part size for split archives to 5MB, 10MB and 20MB, respectively, but the backup still won't progress beyond 83% (in Post-processing). This time, though, ALICE is all green with Success for all tests and does not report a single warning or error.

I've included the last log file (available here), should you need it.

I can't say this enough: You guys are great. Thanks for all that you do.

Can you please try to disable chunked upload an revert to the "normal" one?
Please remember to use a small part size (for example 5Mb).
