EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue: Description of my issue: Default (jpa) backup fails at reading database stage. Database error: Could not connect to MySQL. Have checked and fixed permissions with Admin Tools. Alice halts at Checking System Requirements: database permissions (have waited 6 minutes before stopping Alice. Should I wait longer?
Above repeated several times.

A separate Zip backup gives a successful message but when I try to view it I get Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Hello Robert,

did you added an additional database to your backup configuration?
Can you please double check if the access details are correct? Otherwise Akeeba Backup won't connect to that database, raising the error you reported.

Hi Davide
Thank you for your quick response. I have inherited this site and don't know whether there are additional databases.
How do I check if the access details are correct? Sorry but I am a novice.

On control panel page you will find an icon named Multiple database definition.
Please review them and remove any incorrect or useless value.

Thanks Davide
There is 1 database there. cPanel shows 2 other databases.

Please remove the database from the page Multiple database definition.
That should fix your issue.
