EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Please attach a ZIP file containing your Akeeba Backup log file in order for us to help you with any backup or restoration issue. If the file is over 2Mb, please upload it on your server and post a link to it.

Description of my issue:
Backups that are initiated via a CRON job are failing near the beginning of the backup with an out-of-memory error:
Akeeba\Engine\Dump\Base :: Database Error: MySQL client ran out of memory SQL=SELECT *
FROM `yl2s9_acymailing_history` LIMIT 0, 1000

However, I have run this same backup from within the Joomla admin within a 10-minute period and it appeared to run fine. At least it completed. I haven't verified that the backup restores correctly.

I did notice that the size of the backup has changed from around 36Mb to more than 46Mb for the latest ones initiated in the backend. The backups are only 5 days apart and I don't know of any files of that magnitude being added to the site. So that's troubling.

Thanks for your help!

Gary,

That's a good one. Your PHP memory limit is 200 MB, so you shouldn't be getting a memory error from PHP. We think the error is being thrown by the MySQL driver and is caused by a memory setting in my.cnf. That is something you will have to talk to your host about.
